  • Ages 12–15: Use this page to discuss attribution, remixing, and non-commercial use if that is relevant to the project.

Plain-Language Note for Educators

In most classrooms, homeschools, clubs, tutoring settings, and other non-commercial learning spaces, you can use this curriculum, print it, and adapt it for your learners as long as you:

  • credit the original source
  • do not sell the curriculum itself or package it as a commercial product
  • keep your adapted version under the same CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license

If you plan to use the material inside a paid product, service, or other clearly commercial offering, pause and review the official Creative Commons guidance before reusing it.

What This Means

You are free to:

  • Share the curriculum by copying and redistributing it in any medium or format.
  • Adapt the curriculum by remixing, transforming, and building on it.

You must follow these terms:

  • Attribution: Give appropriate credit, link to the license, and indicate whether you made changes.
  • NonCommercial: Do not use the material for commercial purposes.
  • ShareAlike: If you remix or adapt the material, you must distribute your version under the same license.
  • No additional restrictions: Do not add legal or technical restrictions that prevent others from using the material as the license allows.

If you reuse or adapt this curriculum, use attribution that is clear and practical. For example:

Decision Literacy for Kids by Zachary Cohen, licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0.

If you made changes, say so plainly. For example:

Adapted from Decision Literacy for Kids by Zachary Cohen, used under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0. Changes were made.
